Throughout the last years since the past presidential campaign started the united states has become in my opinion a more controversial country than it was before. With the commentaries made by now-President Donald Trump against the Mexicans and about women while he was running for President it started to call the attention of not only the people in the United States but also people in other countries. Donald Trump found a way in which he grabbed the attention of people to follow his campaign by making everything more controversial. Not only that, but the ideas that he brought in his campaign were things that nobody had brought before. The idea of building a wall and making Mexico pay for it, the idea that all Latinos were criminals and should be deported, in other words, he wanted the united states to be more selfish. After winning the presidency we started to see how he has implemented laws that affect other countries and at the same time affect people in the United States. I believed that the United States National Government has lost its respect by a majority of its own citizens. The united states had always been recognized by making a big impact in the world by taking advantage of the great world power that they are. Now, I feel that the united states national government has become an easy media headline around the world. It is just a factor of waiting until President Donald Trump does something that will again be controversial and grab the attention of the world.

ResponderBorrarReading the blog stage five that you posted, I agree substantially with the idea that Trump and our current political era have caused problems and tensions to arise between fellow Americans in a way it has never been seen before. I completely agree that bringing up race and gender is uncalled for and unnecessary, especially during a period of LGBT activists. Also, I do think it is interesting to note that the ideas brought fourth by Trump were all mostly new ideas, but I think these new ideas have a more positive connotation than a negative one expressed by you. Due to what is currently going on in our country with excessive illegal immigration, it makes sense for a politician to propose an idea such as building a wall. The wall seems daunting and not like how the United States was founded upon; however, we need to remember that there are laws for a reason, and that immigration needs to be managed somehow-maybe with a wall or maybe not. I strongly agree with the point made about the national government losing respect from its citizens. Every video of Congress or House meetings always seems to look like a circus. I do believe however, that the United States is still strongly a world power. The song "courtesy of the red, white and blue" by Toby Keith perfectly describes America's foundations, and what happens if those foundations are shifted around by an opposing force. All in all, I agree that the politics in the United States are at a torrid time and need some major sorting out.
